Our Purpose:

• Assure balanced growth and development of communities surrounding Winston-Salem State University, as well as develop mutually beneficial relationships with the community which complement the university’s educational mission
  
• Foster economic and business development initiatives serving the needs of low and moderate income and otherwise disadvantaged persons
  
• Develop and improve affordable housing and to foster infrastructure development within distressed and disadvantaged neighborhoods
  
• To promote the preservation of buildings and sites important to the African-American community.
